Major redesign in progress. (It involves neomorphism.)
Slight tweaks to the home page.
Yeesh, I've been updating a lot and neglecting the changelog. Well, *breath in* let's get to it:
User-changeable background on each and every page as of now.
Fixed background repeat on user-changeable image. (Undone)
Added localStorage() to save the user's background preference (it only saves on the page they entered the IMG URL on).
Secret upcoming project?
Looked into loading animations but they... didn't work?
Finished Beta testing! I was bored, ok?
Changed default background color from a dark purple radial gradient to a lighter purple radial gradient.
I'm talking too far over your head, aren't I? Sorry, I'm trying to simplify it.
Fixed a bug that made the background stark, default white when removing custom images.
Added more comments and fixed some issues with code alignment for cleaner code.
Finished the About page. The parallax issues have been resolved.
Updates are rolling out somewhat slower, and I apologize.
Removed unused CSS and optimized some other CSS code. This should translate to slightly better load times.
How did I finish typing all of that? My fingers hurt, so I'll stop. =_=
Updated the secret. It's almost done.
Changed font to Roboto, made the background a radial gradient and added a secret somewhere...
I haven't updated this in a while, so here are all the unlisted updates:
Added a visitor counter, will update it later.
Experimented with different dark mode toggles and broke the website in the process. Fixed
Moved the current dark mode button to inside of the sidebar. This gurantees that it will be pressable even if there is a class='pulse', which would previously make Dark Mode inaccessible in some spots.
Completely redid the About page- it's still unfinished at the time of writing.
Tested out a moving gradient background, but it had about a 30% chance of glitching out the header, so it was removed. Otherwise, it's very promising and I might reimplement it.
Patched a bug that took users to the old domain when using the sidebar.
Dark mode!! Found under the sidebar. Unfortunately, in the quest for simplicity, functionality was lost. In other words, every time you reload or go to a new subpage, it resets to normal. Will work on that...
Someone remind me to finish up About before I work on anything else.
Added a mouse trail, removed it shortly thereafter.
Ported over pulse functionality to the other (current) subpages., meaning they can use a pulse effect, however that doesn't nessecarily mean they will.
Progress bar replaced with a rounded, special scrollbar on the right.
Looks like slideshows work now.
Front page dancing ascii art will not work on phones, due to some.. resizing issues. Sorry..
Added a slideshow onto About.
Playing around with pulse size for MotDs. Apparently 1000 makes the website uninteractable haha
Patched a bug that prevented users from accessing the dropdown menu in Home
Added a pulse effect to the front page MotDs.
Nevermind, fixed (in regards to the lower two updates).
Scratch that, I don't know how to fix it yet..
Hilarious button animation fail. I know how to fix it, so enjoy this while it lasts.
Temporary clock on the front page because I'm bored.
How do I make only the navbar stretch across the whole page...?
Added whitespace, added colored headings and made the navbar transition time 0.2s (from 0.6s) so it feels more snappy
Changed the main font again, its now Verdana, sans-serif
Readded MotD, but it only updates when I feel like it and its not labeled as MotD, just a random message that updates randomly
Tried out w3pro.css, but it, uh... needless to say, it didn't work out.
In regards to the lower update, yes, w3.css will be staying. It looks too good to not utilize it. Very simple and easy to use as well, so update frequency won't be affected but update quality (how much we can get done in a time frame) likely will.
Trying out w3.css. Looks very promising. It may stay.
Finally added a scrollbar, albeit on the side versus on the top, where it might look better. But hey, beggars can't be choosers, it was the only one that worked.
Might change the color scheme thoEdit: Finished; now a deeper blue and fuller black
Currently adding in content for the About page
Considering readding MotD
Changed main font to Helvetica, fallback fonts are Times New Roman and Brush Script MT, cursive
Sidenote: Honestly, this changelog subpage might become the longest one after everything is said and done, haha.
Added a subtle change in background across all subpages. [REMOVED]
Added class="sticky" to Changelog
Added class="active" to the About page
Also removed the "Coming soon!" sign from Changelog in About
Added a bit more animation to the home page button leading to Troubleshooting lag (the arrows now appear after the transition, not during).
Made it so that when you're on a subpage, the active button in the navbar made your cursor default to normal (if this doesn't make sense, hover your mouse [if you're on a computer, of course] over the Changelog button in the navigation bar. Your cursor doesn't change, but hovering over Home, for example, changes your cursor.)
Added Changelog- you know this because you're looking at it now! Ordered from oldest updates to newest updates, with the newest at the top.
Added Brush Script MT font (no fallback fonts yetUPDATE: Fallback fonts added)
Added a linear gradient background [REMOVED]
Made navbar sticky
Added a bit of CSS animation to the navbar
Changed buttons so they have rounded corners, a fading transition effect from gray to green, and change in width as an arrow appears (Test here, the button doesn't do anything)
Added buttons, a better-looking alternative to links
